Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases is a research institute actively involved in R&D activity, which results from both the hospital's statute, and very close collaboration with Medical University of Silesia and other regional, national, and worldwide R&D institutions.
The research work we conduct is focused on the fields of cardiology, cardiac surgery, transplantology, diabetology, as well as basic science. We have many years of experience in the interventional treatment of patients with the acute coronary syndrome, which has resulted in substantial academic achievement in this field, supplemented by hundreds of conference abstracts presented on national and international scientific meetings.
